Tissue research
Tissue research looks at the signals cells use to migrate, form new blood vessels and communicate with the extracellular matrix. Peptides in this domain are often fragments of natural proteins, such as the actin-binding thymosin β4 (TB-500) and the pentadecapeptide BPC-157.
They are used in cell and tissue models to study angiogenesis, cell migration, cytokine signalling and immune modulation. The tripeptide KPV, the antimicrobial peptide LL-37 and thymic peptides such as thymosin α1 also belong to this group.
